AND, BEST OF ALL A DELICIOUS PRE-SALE SUPPER PREPARED BY DAD JOHN REICHEL. TOP SELLING STEER BROUGHT $2500 FROM HICKS CATTLE COMPANY AND THE TOP SELLING HEIFER BROUGHT $2050 FROM KEMPKER/BINKLEY SHOW CATTLE. SALE AVERAGE WAS $1500 PER HEAD.
THE 2012 SALE WILL BE HELD SATURDAY NIGHT, NOVEMBER 3. 2012 AT 7 PM AND WILL BE LIMITED TO THIRTY HEAD TOTAL. KEEP THIS IN MIND WHEN ASSESSING YOUR 2012 CALF CROP. PLANS ARE TO ONCE AGAIN BE AT THE MIDWAY EXPO CENTER, EXIT 121 OFF OF INTERSTATE 70 WEST OF COLUMBIA, MO. PLEASE LET EVERYONE IN THE CATTLE INDUSTRY KNOW. BEDDING IS ON SALE ON SITE.

The SALE DATE is November 3, 2012 and sale time is 7 pm. As in the past, cattle for sale may arrive on Friday, November 2NDh and should all try to be in place by 8 pm Friday night.
The year's sale will feature open heifers AND steers.
This is a live auction, not a private treaty sale and phone bids will be taken if someone is interested in a particular consignment, but they must call in prior to 11 AM on the Saturday of the sale with their bid or a phone number where they can be reached. Also, PHONE BIDDERS must have a letter of credit from their bank with the amount that can be used to purchase animals on file 10 days before the sale by sending to Gary Reichel, 31477 Moniteau St., California, MO 65018.
If there is anyone interested in becoming a SALE OR SHOW SPONSOR please call Gary for more information at 573-796-2511. Sponsorships start at $50 so all farms have the opportunity to be listed on our Calf Quest web site and on flyers and postings at the American Royal as well as sale/show weekend. We can also use attendance prizes.
Calf Quest Sale will also present the "Black and Gold" CALF QUEST STEER & HEIFER SHOWS for an entire weekend of Shows and Sale. Both Saturday and Sunday will feature two rings with heifers in one and steers in the other and all shows will be OPEN SHOWS starting at 9 am each day for Ring A and Ring B at 9:30 AM. Bedding will not be provided so please plan on bringing your own bedding to display your cattle for sale in the stalls however you prefer. BEDDING IS ON SALE ON SITE.
All consignors must bring health papers for each animal consigned to the sale.
We encourage young people who might need assistance with funding their beef projects to check at their local USDA office for the availability of youth loans. To purchase show cattle this way at our sale, we will need a letter from the USDA office authorizing the purchase and the address to which we are to send an invoice for payment. Payment is expected within ten days of the sale.
All calves for sale will be green broke to the halter and will be in price range to be competitive at county, state, and national level shows. We hope you will find one in your price range. Calf Quest is committed to the success of youth who show cattle, especially the young 4-H member. We look for calves throughout the year. If you are a prospective buyer or consignor, we welcome you to contact us for further information.
We are willing to answer questions about the care and feeding of your Calf Quest calf or questions about showing your calf. We also welcome photos of your Calf Quest calf and show results. You can submit them at this web site.
We are proud of the fact that many breed, county and carcass champions have been purchased at this sale!
Terms of Service- NEW BUYERS must have a certified letter from Bank on hand day of sale. PHONE BUYERS must provide certified letter 5 days prior to sale to sale management before a phone bid will be taken. Thank you Sales Management
